Parent Survey Feedback: Celebrating Success and Looking Ahead

A huge thank you to all parents and carers who took part in our recent survey. The feedback highlights the many strengths of Fishponds CE Primary School, while also helping to shape our priorities for continued improvement.

Parents overwhelmingly praised the school's caring and inclusive environment, recognising the dedication of staff, strong communication and the positive experiences children enjoy every day. Families reported that pupils feel safe, happy and well supported, and valued the warm relationships that exist across the school community.

One parent shared:

"The teachers are supportive and communicate well with parents. My children feel safe and happy at school. The school has good discipline and helps children learn with confidence."

Another commented:

"Fishponds has been a real life-line and I genuinely don't know if we would have survived at points without the support of the team."

Parents also highlighted the school's excellent pastoral care, celebration of diversity, range of extra-curricular opportunities and the dedication of staff in helping every child achieve their potential.

Looking ahead, the school will continue to focus on areas identified by parents, including school dinners, home learning, communication and SEND support. Alongside this, work will continue to strengthen behaviour, teaching, inclusion and attendance, while expanding opportunities through clubs, trips and enrichment activities.

By working together with families, Fishponds CE Primary School remains committed to providing the very best experience for every pupil.

Managing Parent Concerns

We hope that your child will be very happy at our school, but we understand that sometimes you may have a concern or your child may have a worry that needs addressing. We want all children to be able to enjoy school.

If you have any concerns, please contact your child's class teacher in the first instance. More often than not, once we know about the concern, we can address things quickly to make things better.

In the rare event that you are not satisfied with the outcomes of your meeting with the class teacher, please contact the school office to book an appointment with the relevant leader:

  • Early Years (Reception) - Miss Yvetta Russ

  • Transition to Independence Phase (Year 1 - Year 3) - Mr Adam Jones (SLT)

  • Independent Enquirers Phase (Year 4 - Year 6) - Mrs Jacquelyn Noble (SLT)

If your concern is about your child's Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (and you have already met with the class teacher) please contact Mrs Victoria Caddell SENDCo and Inclusion Lead.

If you have any concerns, comments or feedback regarding the school office or Wraparound Care provision, please contact Jessica Harrison Davie, Office and Extended Services Manager. Jessica will be happy to listen to your concerns and work with you to address any issues promptly and effectively.

If there are further concerns, these will be dealt by a member of the Senior Leadership Team:

  • Headteacher - Ms Michelle Omoboni
  • Asistant Headteacher - Mrs Jacquelyn Noble
  • Raising Standards Lead - Mr Adam Jones
