Open Events

We strongly recommend attending one or more of our Open Events, held each year from October to January. These events provide an excellent opportunity to explore our school, tour our Reception classrooms and learning environments, meet members of our Reception team and speak with our Senior Leadership Team. You will learn more about our curriculum, school values and daily routines, helping you make an informed decision about your child's first years of education.

During your visit, you will also have the opportunity to see the facilities available to our pupils and gain an insight into the caring and supportive environment we create for children as they begin their school journey. Our team will be available to answer questions about starting school, settling into Reception and how we support every child to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Our popular Stay and Play event gives parents and pupils the chance to spend time in our Reception classrooms and outdoor learning spaces. You will see children's learning in action, take part in a range of activities and gain a better understanding of our Early Years curriculum, routines and environment.

How to Apply

Applications for Reception places must be made online through Bristol City Council. Applications for September 2027 admissions open on 12 September 2026 and close on 15 January 2027. We encourage parents to submit their application before the closing date to ensure it is considered as part of the main admissions round.

Offers for on-time applications will be sent by Bristol City Council on 16 April 2027. Once offers have been received, families will be given information about accepting their place and the next steps in the transition process.

If you are refused a place for your child at your preferred school, you have the right to appeal against the decision of the Admissions Authority. Appeals must be submitted through the Bristol City Council appeals process.
