School Run Clubs

At Fishponds CE Primary School, pupils are spoiled for choice with a fantastic range of after school clubs designed to spark creativity, build confidence and inspire new passions. Each club has been carefully created to offer something special, making after school time one of the most exciting parts of the day!

From high‑energy activities to calm, creative spaces, there’s something for every pupil. Football enthusiasts can shine in Mixed Football, while strategic thinkers put their skills to the test in Chess Club. Budding comedians and problem‑solvers will love the challenges in Taskmaster, and those who enjoy making and creating can get stuck into Arts and Crafts.

For pupils who love to perform, there’s plenty on offer too. Music, Drama, and even Line Dancing allow children to find their rhythm, build confidence and have a brilliant time expressing themselves. If building and designing is more their style, Lego Club offers endless possibilities for imagination to run wild.

Outdoor lovers can get hands-on with nature in Gardening Club, while sporty pupils can burn off energy and develop their skills in Athletics. For those who prefer something cosy and calm, Books and Blankets is the perfect place to relax with a good story.

With such an incredible variety on offer, pupils have every chance to discover new interests, develop new talents and, most importantly, have a brilliant time after school. There truly is something for everyone!

Karate Bristol

In conjunction with Karate Bristol, the school is thrilled to offer an exciting after school Karate Club for pupils who want to build confidence, develop discipline and learn a fantastic new skill. This partnership allows children to experience high‑quality martial arts coaching from experienced instructors in a safe, supportive and fun environment.

As an added bonus, every child who joins the club will receive their first grading completely free, giving them a brilliant opportunity to progress through the ranks and celebrate their achievements. Pupils will also be able to purchase a discounted Gi, helping them feel part of the karate community from day one.

Karate Club is open to children aged 6–11, making it a fantastic option for both beginners and those who have had some experience before. Whether a child is looking to improve focus, build strength or simply try something new, Karate Club offers an empowering and rewarding experience for all.

Premier Sport

The school is proud to work in partnership with Premier Sport, a highly regarded provider of high‑quality children’s sports activities. Each term, Premier Sport offers an exciting range of after school clubs designed to keep pupils active, motivated and having great fun. From developing new skills to building teamwork and confidence, these clubs provide fantastic opportunities for children who love to get moving.

All bookings are managed directly by Premier Sport, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for families. Parents and carers must make bookings online and in advance, as the school office is unable to take or process any bookings on their behalf. This system helps ensure that club registers are accurate and that coaches are fully prepared for each session.

Premier Sport clubs run from 3.15pm to 4.30pm, giving pupils a full, engaging session packed with energy and enjoyment. Whether a child is trying a new sport for the first time or building on existing skills, Premier Sport provides a safe, supportive and inspiring environment for all.
