Appeals
If you're refused a place for your child at your preferred school you have the right to appeal against the decision of the admissions Authority. Appeals must be made through the Bristol City Council appeals process.
If your child is approaching their fourth birthday you may be thinking about enrolling them at Fishponds CE Primary School.
Our Open Events offer you the opportunity to have a look around our school and facilities, get to know our Reception staff and have a chat with our Senior Leadership Team.
During our 'Stay and Play' event you and your child are invited to come and spend some time in our Reception classrooms and outdoor learning space. You will be able to see what the children are learning and gain a deeper insight into how our Early Years provision runs.
Please let us know which of our Opens Events you will be attending. Letting us know when you will be attending helps us prepare resources, ensure staff are available to answer your questions, and make your visit as enjoyable and informative as possible.
How to Apply
If you would like to apply for a Reception class place for your child to start in September, you will need to apply through Bristol City Council.
For September 2026 admissions you must apply by 15th January 2026. Offers of school places for on time applications will be sent to parents by Bristol City Council on 16th April 2026.
